Still No Google Transit

New, 20 comments

Google Transit is a handy online tool for humans to find local transit options in most cities, but many people have grumbled that the option hasn't surfaced in Los Angeles. LAist.com quotes as source as stating that Metro currently "has hesitations such as losing revenue" by using Google Transit. Previously, Metro has stated it may put advertising on its own online navigation tools-- in this case, one of its trip planners . Via the blog: "...Metro has had access to a beta Google Transit map with every bus and train schedule for over a year now, according to a source who spoke under the condition of anonymity. To open it up to the public, Metro just has to give Google the final blessing and sign a contract, the source said." [LAist.com]
