More Time Allotted For Expo Line Complaints

New, 7 comments

The environmental impact report on the second phase of the Expo Line, available publicly since late January, detailed the potential routes and mitigation issues involved with building the light rail line from Culver City to Santa Monica. Concerned folks had until Friday to leave their comments (or rants) with BuildExpo—the construction authority. Now, the airing of the grievances has two additional weeks, as the time for public comment has been extended to March 27. It seems likely that some folks in Cheviot Hills, those urging the train to bypass their neighborhood and veer south to Venice Blvd., will take advantage of the continuance. The actual press release of the extension is not yet on BuildExpo's site, but there is news about the recent groundbreaking for the USC station that's part of Phase 1. [BuildExpo]
