From Seattle's KOMO News comes a story about local resident John Morefield, a laid off architect who has put up a stand at a Farmer's Market and is charging people 5 cents for design advice."Armed with a degree in architecture, a ruler and a sharp No. 2 pencil, he put his office on wheels and set up shop between the organic apples and hand-made soaps at the Ballard Market. 'Any questions about your home, your kitchen doesn't work - drop a nickel, fire away,' Morefield says." He tells the newschannel: "It's as simple as that, just starting conversations with people about their homes and what they want them to be." Last Sunday, he made 35 cents, but says the stand is really about networking and making connections. [KOMO]
