Angelenic had this rumor back in early January, and here's the confirmation: Great Republic Lofts, that 72-unit building at 756 S. Spring St. that opened for sales in September with units priced from the $300,000s will go rental. The building will be managed by Landmark Property Management, which is a division of KOR. Did we realize that KOR also manages property it doesn't develop? No, we did not. A rep from Landmark emails: "We're very excited to announce the launch of pre-leasing for the Great Republic Lofts, with move-ins scheduled for mid-March. We think Great Republic will compete very well as a rental project downtown - we have amazing views (two-thirds of our lofts are corner units), very high-end finishes, and a beautiful roofdeck. Great Republic's lofts range from 662 to 1011 square feet, and starting rents range from $1,410 to over $2,000.
