Pasadena Streetcar Chatter Continues

New, 39 comments

Following up locals' suggestions for a streetcar in Pasadena, the Examiner blog reports there's a second route also being kicked around: "Alternatively, there's a more ambitious proposal that calls for a route through Green Street that would partially or completely close off traffic in that one way flow through. The Green Street line would give trains a dedicated rail free from traffic congestion. This alternative proposal also gives a shoutout to the original streetcars that ran right on Green back in the day. While Pasadena has embraced the Gold Line, a streetcar will likely garner far more mixed opinions." The blog also believes that for the project to work there needs to be a stop adjacent to the Del Mar or Fillmore station to connect local rail with Metro Rail. [Examiner]
