More incredibly good news for Bob Baker's Marionette Theater from Eastsider LA..."...the 56-year-old building that houses the theater on First Street has been nominated as a Los Angeles Cultural Historic Monument. The nomination application will receive its first review before the city's Cultural Heritage Commission on Thursday." Declaring the theater a monument would help secure it from ever being demolished, according to the blog. Meanwhile, the Santa Monica Playhouse is trying to raise money to keep its operations going, according to its web site. [Eastsider LA]
