GoogleMaps would like to introduce you to "New Downtown" (click on photo to enlarge). We would have guessed an area called New Downtown would be due south, close to the new L.A. Live activity, but apparently this place is near 4th and Figueroa in the financial district. As certain as we are that many people would like to have a downtown do-over, this is clearly a mistake. If you look closely, you'll notice that GoogleMaps also plays fast and loose with nearby MacArthur Park, renaming it Macarther park. Donna Summer's gonna be pissed.
