Check out recently released video of Aptera 2e, an electric three-wheeled auto from Carlsbad-based Aptera Motors. The car, which will cost about $30,000, according to CNET, will come out this fall. "The three-wheel vehicle is technically a motorcycle, but it has met the safety requirements of a car. It's lightweight, roomy, and it boasts more than 100 miles on a single full charge--an equivalent of 300 miles per gallon." Wired magazine says the auto is up for the $10 million Progressive Automotive X Prize, and picks up on a recent Road & Track review, which notes its go-kart like agility. Spacewise, Road & Track describes it as somewhere between a Lotus Elise and a Toyota Corolla.
