Washington Square Project Proposed for Arlington Heights

New, 2 comments

Tonight there's a public scoping meeting in Arlington Heights to discuss the "Washington Square" project, a mixed-used development that would rise at 4020-4060 Washington Square Blvd (10th and Washington). Here's the project description off the Dept of Planning web site: "Citing concerns about market conditions, the developer is considering two proposals: 550 residential units (130 apartments, 420 for sale), and 110,000 square feet of commercial space. The other option would result in 342 residential units (135 rental and 217 condos)....Construction would start in 2011 and finish in 2013." Details are rather sketchy, but the developer listed is local landlord company Root 3 (they have an office on the project site), while the residential renderings were done by Fernald Architecture and the commercial renderings are courtesy of Nadel Retail. The meeting is at Arlington Heights Elementary School
at 1717 Seventh Avenue at 6pm.
