The Green Building Elements blog has identified the 10 Dumbest Green Buildings on Earth (to them) and LA tops the list with the futuristic BP gas station near Beverly Hills (pictured), while Santa Monica clocks in at #7 with Moore Ruble Yudell's award-winning colorful civic center garage. The blog doesn't seem to have too much ire for the structures, instead calling them piggies with lipstick. The green gas station is nice and all (solar panels and drought-tolerant landscaping), but it simply dispenses petrol, but not even hydrogen. The garage would maybe be ok—to the blog—if it served a bus or train station, but as it stands now it's just a pretty incentive to drive. [Green Building Elements]
