There's more scrutiny for developer Related Cos and its delayed Grand Avenue ground-breaking, reports the Contra Costs Times. "County Supervisor Michael Antonovich will call today for a status report on the oft-delayed $3 billion Grand Avenue Project to revamp downtown Los Angeles. One goal of the supervisor in submitting a motion at the Board of Supervisors' meeting is to draw attention to the project's repeated delays, said Antonovich's planning deputy, Paul Novak....``Basically, the developer needs to either live up to the deal, or we need to scrap the deal,'' Novak said." Related Cos recently announced that due to financing problems, the Frank Gehry-designed mixed-use downtown development would be delayed once again. [Contra Costa Times]
