Barring More Rain Delays, Atwater Mews Finishing Next Spring

New, 15 comments

Here are the latest construction shots of the Mews project, that development of 23 single family homes rising at 4255-4310 Perlita Avenue in Atwater Village. This may be the last development that goes up till 2016 or so, so take it all in. (And "rising" is probably the wrong word; the project really "stretches" across the street.) Atwater Mews is one of those projects that take advantages of the city's small lot ordinance, which allows developers to build single-family homes or detached town houses on a single parcel of land. According to sales agent* Jerry Hoffman, sales will start in January, with move-ins--for the first six homes--scheduled for February. The first six homes, three of which face the street, will start at $595,000 (for 1,600 square feet). Meanwhile, the back homes have 14 foot ceilings, and look directly into Griffith Park, according to Hoffman. They will be priced at $663,000 for 1,530 square feet. What really caught our eye, though, was the Korean Church, housed in a tent, across the street. Shot after the jump. Meanwhile, the blog is showing some sexy dry wall action going on in the model units. If the rain doesn't slow down construction, the model units will be finished in about a month, according to Hoffman.
