The owners of the LAPD's former Rampart station are putting the pretty cool-looking building up for sale for $4.5 million, reports the Los Angeles Times. The Los Angeles Federal Credit Union built the Westlake building in 1965 and occupied it until the LAPD moved in in the '90s. The LAPD brought trouble: members of an anti-gang unit working at the building were accused of dirty policing and one (now-former) policeman "went to prison for stealing cocaine from an evidence locker." The Rampart division moved into a nice new station on Sixth Street in 2008. [LAT, image via]
