Located a few blocks south, and one west, of the intersection of Santa Monica Boulevard and Barrington Avenue, the Stoner recreation center is in the midst of getting torn up to make way for the city's newest skateboard park (a big chunk of the park is off-limits during construction). The Stoner Skate Plaza (too many jokes!!) was paid for by quimby funds and is scheduled to open around February, weather permitting for construction. According to park officials, renderings are hard to come by because the design keeps changing. Regardless, the skatepark is sure to be blazin!
