DOWNTOWN: Who is up in arms today? A group fighting to save the Father Serra Park in El Pueblo. We don't know anything about this one, but the Downtown News mentioned the project in an October article. And from the group's web site: "A diverse and growing alliance have asked Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and city officials to demand that the City of Los Angeles cease and desist any work on a proposed project that includes a concrete, stone, brick and metal pyramid and wall (the “Project”) at Father Serra Park in El Pueblo de Los Angeles Historic Monument. The Project has not received proper legal review and approval by government agencies and the public, in violation of state and federal laws and principles, including protections for parks and the environment, historic preservation, Native American sites, equal justice, transparent government and the rule of law in a democratic society." More via the web site. [Curbed Staff]

WEST HOLLYWOOD: People are freaking out about a nativity scene at the Madison store in WeHo, according to a KTLA report. Outraged locals are upset about the sexy Mary and the fact that "baby Jesus is sitting in her crotch." [KTLA]
