Richard Dorman-Designed Mid-Century in Woodland Hills

New, 20 comments

When we spotted this sweet 1959 post-and-beam three-bedroom, two-bath in Woodland Hills, it looked like it must have some sort of architectural pedigree. Yet none was mentioned in the listing. A little digging reveals the home was designed by mid-century architect Richard Dorman. It also reveals the house was foreclosed on earlier this year. The house features walls of glass, clerestory windows, open interior spaces, a pool, and is situated on a cul-de-sac. The house was last on the market in 2007, when it sold for $820,000. It previously sold in 2004 for $680,000. Now it's back on the market at $542,000, or $304 per square foot - just a tad higher than neighborhood comps.
