The bank-owned mid-century modern residence known as the Thorgusen House has finally sold. Designed by architect Robert Thorgusen in 1953 the two-bedroom, two-bath 2,300 square foot house features an extra long pool. When it was first on the market at the height of the bubble, it was originally listed for $1.895 million but by September of 2008, the house was foreclosed on for $1.215 million. In September 2009, the listing price was $859,800, obviously in an attempt to invite multiple bids. It seems the strategy has worked. Final sales price: $1.189 million. [Redfin]
