That's Rather Lovely, the nice twin of That's Rather Hideous, highlights clever decisions in interior design or architecture as revealed in photos or listings. Have a nominee? Say hello.
Putting aside that some of these photos look like they were taken in the midst of packing and moving, we're pretty taken with this huge 1930 four-bedroom, three-and-a-half bath plus office/nursery. The almost 4,000 square foot house also features a library, family room, and formal dining room. And there seems to be plenty of original details still intact, including the tiled bathrooms, stenciled beamed ceiling in the living room and stained glass windows. There's also a hidden bar behind the bookcase in the family room (the house was built a few years before the end of Prohibition). The house was last sold in September 2008 for $1.815 million. It's currently on the market for $1.795 million.
