Hidden Hills Compound Takes Another Hit

New, 11 comments

When this admittedly insane six-bedroom, ten-bath compound in Hidden Hills went on the market in January for $27 million, or $3,627 per square foot, we scratched our heads. The price seemed absolutely ludicrous, even if the estate featured "a water oasis leading into a cave setting with seating and wet bars for any occasion." The property also features a tennis court, five stall horse facilities with riding arena, a sand volleyball court (which is less impressive when you realize just how many USC frat houses also have one in the backyard. So we're told), "commercial bathrooms," a mechanical bull, a 24 seat theater, game room, and a wine cellar/tasting room. The home, owned by Larry Pollack, also the owner of the Saddle Ranch, has seen multiple pricechops, ( and most recently, it dropped to about $12 million in October), the new asking price is still more than triple its 2003 sales price of $2.775 million. Chopped again, it's now $9.95 million.
