About that Podcar Idea...

New, 12 comments

Over at the Source, Steve Hymon weighs in on City Councilman Paul Koretz's dream of podcars, an idea Hymon says the politician has been talking about for a while. But Metro has never studied the idea of so-called personalized rapid transit (PRT), nor does it sound like they ever would. Mostly because the PRT "has never caught on as a substitute for mass transit for long trips," largely because trains are far more efficient in terms of carrying people. So let's move on to an idea that is actually implementable, people: A ring of gondolas around the city. [The Source]
