WILSHIRE BLVD: If you drive up and down Wilshire Blvd, you know that there's long been one of those SkyTag Statue of Liberty banners up at 6300 Wilshire Blvd (near Crescent Heights). The banner, which wrapped around the building like a skirt (here's a little movie about this banner), has come down in the last few weeks. And suddenly you can see the actual architecture of the building. How wonderful. Is a new ad coming? Leasing/management company Legacy Partners (they have a sign up on the property) declined to comment. Part of the reason the Statue of Liberties signs likely haven't been replaced by real ads is that companies are too broke to advertise, but who knows what'll happen here. [Curbed Staff]
DOWNTOWN: This is the spot where downtowners were cheering for a Target. A reader writes: "What is happening to the old Macy's building at 7th and Fig in Downtown LA?" Good question. [Curbed InBox]
