In an interview with the Planning Report, architect and president of the City Planning Commission William Roschen makes a public declaration to City Attorney Carmen Trutanich: "We are hoping at the Planning Commission—and I am very serious about this—to have a terrific relationship with the new city attorney. We had a rocky start." We'll say. In July, Trutanich requested a delay in a Planning Commission vote to add signage to the Convention Center, which Roschen ignored. Trutanich responded with a very sternly-worded (some might say legally threatening) letter. The interview also has more from Roschen on the city's sign ordinances and his own firm's decision to put billboards on the Sunset and Vine project. [Planning Report]
