So what if this two bedroom, two bathroom apartment doesn't appear to actually be in a "Vintage Newtra" building, like the ad says? We think it's got charm all its own. The building on Sunset Boulevard in Pacific Palisades has four units on four terraced levels, and, the ad says, was designed to look like a ship sinking into the mountain. Sort of grim, but also sort of cool. This unit has a private patio, views to the ocean, hardwood floors, a fireplace, and built-ins. The galley looks a little dinky, but it comes with a dining area. Rent is $3,000 with a $3,000 deposit.
