Just to make us feel worse about it, BoingBoing publishes this found photo of an at the time operational Los Angeles Subway Terminal, located deep below the Subway Terminal Building, which is now, of course, an apartment building. The picture comes from hotrodder Gale Banks, who also tells the story of breaking into the terminal and exploring the subway tunnel in 1962, seven years after Pacific Electric shut the subway down.
