The Minneapolist-St. Paul Business Journal reports LA-based AECOM has bought the Twin Cities' biggest architecture firm, Ellerbe Becket. It's all coming full circle--Ellerbe Becket used to be just the Ellerbe Company, until 1988 when it acquired Welton Becket's firm, which designed half of what's worth looking at in LA, including the Cinerama Dome, the Capitol Records building, and the Beverly Hilton. EB "targets the sports, health care, education and technology markets." [BizJournals]
