We're no Don Drapers, but what's with advertisements in which the product's a secret? The shot above is of a billboard at Selma and Highland; another version (Nothing but YOU in a different handwriting type.) was spotted on a digital billboard at La Brea and Melrose. These are part of advertising firm Deutsch LA's campaign for handset manufacturer HTC, maker of the first Google Android-based phone. The tagline for the campaign is "You don't need to get a phone. You need a phone that gets you," but maybe that was too long? Or maybe they're adding a word a week. Engadget has a couple of the accompanying television spots.
