Someone is going to build something downtown! Reach back and recall One Santa Fe, Michael Maltzan's sinewy Arts District mixed-use project--it was set to break ground in November 2008 and again in summer 2009. Now the Architect's Newspaper Blog reports that the project will break ground in mid-2010 and take 36 months to complete (and only six years after that, the Downtown Connector should be coming through. Or rather, near.) The $150 million project will consist of 438 apartments, 77,000 square feet of ground floor commercial space, and 750 parking spaces.
