After seeing yesterday's post about the old Phil's Diner moving towards a reopening in North Hollywood, Hayley Freeman, a partner in the diner, informed us that the restaurant now has an official website. There's a blog tracking the construction phase of the restaurant and a post from last week describes how the 1920s structure was lifted up by a crane only to be accidentally dropped—"The back wall is buckled out and looks like it is split in half. The front wall has completely separated from the base about a foot and you can see inside the diner from the underside." You can read the entry in all its exciting glory here.
