LOS FELIZ: Two months ago, it was announced Umami Burger was looking to expand, with its first outpost in the former Cobras & Matadors on Hollywood Blvd. Tonight marks the opening of Umami 2.0 (pictured) with attached Japanese beer bar, Salaryman. Expect the same menu as the original, with a few additions and a sleeker, larger space.

VENICE: A new rival to Bay Cities deli? Opened last Monday, Centanni Deli & Trattoria on Lincoln Blvd is serving inexpensive home-style Italian fare, and until they get their liquor license, its BYOB with free corkage.

VENICE: There is once again Mexican food on Abbot Kinney. Now open in the former Tortilla Grill space, Casa Linda is offering selection of Mexican seafood dishes, tortas, quesadillas, tamales, soups, and sides with most priced around $8 for the larger dishes.

NATIONAL: Notice anything different in Eaterland? Yes, Eater's had a little work done - a makeover for the site, the debut of the Eater 38, the launch of Eater National and the Eater Jobs Marketplace. Start snacking.
