Via LA Observed Biz: "[LA] county posted an unemployment rate of 12.7 percent in September, up from 12.2 percent the previous month and 8.3 percent in September 2008...Most economists don't expect unemployment to peak for at least another several months, so 13 percent in L.A. County is looking like a good possibility." California has an 12.2 unemployment rate; the nationwide rate is 9.8 percent. Michigan can claim the biggest rate: 15.2 percent.
