LA Live has been home to a music awards show (the American Music Awards), a television awards show (the Emmys), and the ESPYs, but now it's finally nabbed the big prize--a movie awards show. The Los Angeles Business Journal reports the 2010 Independent Spirit Awards will be held in a tent on the downtown site's event deck, For several years the indie movie awards have been held in a tent on the beach in Santa Monica. The Dorothy Chandler Pavilion and the Kodak are said to be watching their backs. [LABJ]
