It was back in May 2006 that word leaked about some sort of nutty-looking construction site at 1150 Doheny, right above Sunset. Neighbors thought the owner was building some sort of fancy parking garage, (hence the Taj Mahal-inspired name "GarageMahal") but slowly it become apparent that this was just an addition to an existing home. As the page flipped on 2007, construction was still going on at the home. And as 2009 comes bounding in--crabby, crying baby that it is--the home is still covered in tarp. Slight improvement over last March.
