More Los Angeles Critiquing, Closer to Home

For anyone who didn't catch Thom Andersen's 2003 documentary "Los Angeles Plays Itself" when it came back to Santa Monica's Aero's last September, here's a clip that's making the rounds on this back-to-the-grind Monday. Specifically, the clip looks at how some of the city's famous architectural homes are handled on the big screen. And well, not to pile it on, but it's not entirely positive. Andersen's basic premise is that most of the homes are "denigrated," portrayed as props of evil masterminds. According to Daily Dose of Architecture, the film is not yet out on DVD.
