This was announced earlier this month by Fannie Mae, and now it looks like it's an idea that's snowballing: "Mortgage finance company Freddie Mac said it will allow some borrowers to rent out their homes after losing them to foreclosure. The goal of the new policy, announced Friday, is to prevent properties from becoming vacant so they won't fall into disrepair." But if you can't make the mortgage payments, how are you going to be able to make the rental payments? [Reuters]
