Described as the compound of a "private art director," this Mt. Washington post and beam house designed by midcentury firm Buff & Hensman just hit the market for $595,000. Although couldn't find any references to it in the Buff & Hensman book, the two-bedroom, one bath home is described this way: "Architects Buff & Hensman transform a 30’s bungalow in the signature style of their mid-century post & beam work: dramatic open spaces with minimally detailed plate glass windows all around. Consistent structural module, polished concrete floor, tongue & groove ceilings, board & batten siding, clerestory windows define the Modern aesthetic, while a pair of ultra-mod red entry doors point to the hipness of the era." And it last sold in 2001 for $282,000.
