Bulldozer Dance for Koreatown's Emhurst Hotel

It's hard to tell what's happening at the long dormant construction site of KTown's planned Emhurst International Hotel & Resort. The bulldozer count keeps changing from three to two and then back again, so it's difficult to tell if the dozers are doing anything other than being driven around by bored construction workers. Perhaps the bulldozers are just being stored there? Meanwhile, the web site is kaput and the developer doesn't answer the phone. This likely-dead hotel project, a favorite of Mayor Villaraigosa's, is located at 7th and Hobart (south of Wilshire), and was supposed to have 242 guest rooms, 5,880 square feet of retail, all encompassed in 21- and 16-story towers that you can partially see in the rendering on the project sign.
