Alert the Treesavers, that Santa Monica group looking to save all those ficus trees: The Culver City web site notes that forthcoming street improvements at Carson Street call for the removal of an undetermined number of ficus trees. More insulting, the city is losing the trees to oversees trees. According to the notice, the ficus will be replaced by Chinese Pistache (probably lovely trees, we really don't know anything about them). [Culver City.org]
