Celebrity Real Estate Wrap: Nicolas Cage Lists in Bel-Air, Polaroid House, Trump Back for Ed McMahon, More

Continuing his recent spree of leasing and selling property (and selling even more property), Nicolas Cage has put his Bel-Air Tudor home on the market for $29.999 million. The home (pictured) has previously been owned by singers Dean Martin and Tom Jones, respectively; Cage bought the 11,817-square-foot home in 1998 from Jones for $6.469 million. The listing is here. The scene of many a drunken celebrity bash, the Polaroid Beach House on Carbon Beach in Malibu has been listed at $32 million. According to the Los Angeles Times, the house's party vibe irked neighbors last summer. Meanwhile, the property comes with approved plans to construct a 6,000-square-foot house. [LA Times]

That mystery buyer who stepped up to buy Ed McMahon's Beverly Hills house? That deal fell through, reports Real Estalker. So, Donald Trump, who had originally agreed to buy the house and lease it back to McMahon, is now back, according to Newsday. Michael Cohen, an executive at the Trump Organization tells Newsday that "the unidentified bidder wanted to put 10- 15 percent down and take out a mortgage on the rest, but getting loans is not easy since the subprime collapse." And zinger: "We never expected that other person was going to consummate the transaction," Cohen said. [Newsday]
Chris O’Donnell purchased a Pacific Palisades area; no news on price, but the last buyer had purchased it last year for $4.675 million. It's a 2,867 square foot home and has four bedrooms, but given that O’Donnell has five children, BTL believes O'Donnell is remodeling the property. [Big Time Listings]
