CENTURY CITY: For fans of overly clever puns and steamed buns Take a Bao debuted this week at the Westfield Mall. The concept takes a traditional steamed bun and stuffing them with fillings such as "pomegranate skirt steak, crispy fish, sesame chicken or sweet chili-glazed tofu."
DOWNTOWN: Just when it seemed like the roster of restaurants at LA Live was complete, along comes news that Trader Vic's is opening there in 2009, joining Katsuya, Fleming's Steakhouse, the Yard House, Conga Room, Wolfgang Puck Bar and Grill, and Rosa Mexicano.
HOLLYWOOD: That corner of Highland occupied by Doughboys seems to be slowly coming back to life. There's activity afoot, a pending alcoholic beverage sign in the window, and an ABC license app for a restaurant called The Corner.
