Bobcat Foreclosure Fever!

New, 12 comments

The story of the bobcats moving into that empty foreclosed house in Lake Elsinore is on the front page of today's Los Angeles Times. The story has also spread across the nation. The Times landed the money shot, ie, a photo taken by a nearby neighbor of the two cats lounging on the wall of the house. One thing to note: The bobcats didn't actually move into the house. The house is locked up, Monique Middleton, an officer with Animal Friends of the Valley, tells us. The cats are simply coming down from the hills to drink from the nearly empty Jacuzzi and the koi pond on the property, and to hang out in the lawn. "This story got much bigger than it should have," Middleton tells Curbed. But who doesn't love an animal-foreclosure story? Photo via LA Times
