McCain's Love: Local School Makes Good

New, 17 comments

Several readers have emailed in regarding last night's speech by John McCain at the Republican National Convention. Were they excited about the message of change? Tax cuts? The balloons? Of course not. The highlight of the speech was the appearance of North Hollywood's Walter Reed Middle School on the big screen behind McCain. Doh!

"I know you don't usually do national politics, but a post on how the backdrop behind John McCain's speech last night was accidentally Walter Reed Middle School in North Hollywood -- and not Walter Reed Medical Center in DC." Looks like somebody confused the home of the Wolves for the Army Medical Center. Happens all the time. Blame is being laid at the feet of McCain ad man Fred Davis. UPDATE: The Walter Reed school has released a statement about being mentioned by McCain.
