Following up on our previous post on the delays and rumors surrounding two sites in Westwood Village, we're happy to report we finally have some additional information. First, developers are planning to build a 27-story hotel on the Hollywood Video site at Wilshire Boulevard and Gayley Avenue. No renderings have been released into the wild yet, but we hear that the hotel will contain 134 rooms and 10 condo units. Also, the Ron Simms development at the corner of Gayley and Lindbrook seems to have overcome its street dedication issue after a Mexican standoff-type situation between Public Works/Engineering/Planning and the City Council Office ended in compromise - instead of teh requested 5-foot street dedication, a 4-foot street dedication will be taken. Construction on the one-story retail development is expected to begin in early-2009.
