Here's a shot from yesterday's ficus tree protest in Santa Monica, and there's Treesavers founder Jerry Rubin--the man looks like he does not want to let go. That poor ficus tree is probably really confused by all the action. As noted, the city was slated to remove seven ficus trees and relocate them, but the Treesavers believe the trees will die if removed. This battle between the city and the Treesavers over the ficus has been going on for quite some time. (Image via the Treesavers blog)
