Little Boy Lost, Recovered in Pieces

New, 8 comments

The bronze statue, "Little Picasso," stolen from a Montessori School in Fullerton has been recovered at a scrap metal yard. The little bronze boy had been hacked into three pieces. Thankfully, the bronze boy hacker has been caught. Via the OC Register: "Ezell Clewis, 38, was taken to Orange County Jail on Saturday after he allegedly attempted to sell the statue to the yard for its metal value, Sgt. Mike MacDonald said. Clewis had first gone to a Santa Ana recycler, who refused to take the art piece, MacDonald said." Authorities say the little boy can be welded back together again. [OC Register]
