Retail Building Will Rise From Main Street Pit

Featured earlier this year as a BuildingSpotter--the version of BuildingSpotter where the structure disappears--this Port-O-Potty pit at 862 Main Street will eventually sprout a new retail building, notable given that this pocket of downtown isn't exactly hopping with new stores. What used to be there: A 1914 building (discount merchandise was sold) that was demo'ed sometime between April-May. What's coming, according to city documents: A two-story retail building. There's also some deepening of the basement going on. So now you know.
