Every neighborhood from Venice to Redondo Beach to Harbor City has dealt with complaints about RVs parked on streets. (Neighbors say the vehicles cannibalize parking and are unsightly.) Add San Pedro to the list. "Responding to neighborhood complaints about oversize vehicles parked on residential streets, Los Angeles City Councilwoman Janice Hahn announced Tuesday that a new "RV Restricted" area has been added in San Pedro. Signs have gone up prohibiting the parking of oversize vehicles from 2 to 6 a.m. in the area bounded by Cumbre Drive on the north, Western Avenue on the east, Paseo del Mar on the south and the city boundary on the west. Hahn said the large RVs are "not only eyesores, but also create a public safety hazard." Meanwhile, are there even more RVs now in Venice? On Monday, we spotted nearly a half dozen just around the Rose/5th block area. [Daily Breeze]
