The tail end of the real estate boom brings us yet another hotel to our fair metro area. Nadra Kareem of the San Fernando Valley Business Journal has more on the Glendale Redevelopment Agency greenlighting the design for a new 11-story Hyatt Place Hotel at the corner of Central Avenue and Wilson Avenue. The hotel is described as "more of a boutique, edgier hotel geared towards younger people..." No oldies allowed, please. The 172-room hotel will replace a surface parking lot, and will include four levels of subterranean parking, a flat screen TV in each room, free wifi, and will be within a few blocks of Americana at Brand.
