Another day, another brush fire in Griffith Park. This one broke out around 2:30pm today, and is located near the LA Zoo. There haven't been any reported evacuations yet, and firefighters are on the scene. [LA Times] UPDATE: According to the LAFD's Twitter page, the 2-3 acre fire is near the Mineral Wells Trail. As of about 3:00 pm, 100 firefighters on scene. UPDATE: Again, per Twitter, the LAFD reports the fire has been knocked down. "Confined to 3 acres; 150+ FF's from 5 agencies took 82 minutes; No injury; No structures; No formal evacs; Cause under investigation; NFD - Brian Humphrey (spokesperson for LAFD)."
