New, 10 comments

VENICE: Last week, pictures were posted of the new shrubbery in front of that Marmol Radziner Prefab house in Venice, prompting some readers to claim that no, the trees and shrubbery weren't actually planted, but sitting in boxes. A stealth trip over the fence this weekend revealed that the trees are now PLANTED. Photo evidence in gallery. [Curbed Staff]

HOLLYWOOD: The LA Forum for Art and Urban Design, a non-profit organization supporting innovative art, architecture and design, is opening in new headquarters on Hollywood Blvd this Friday night. The organization is taking over Woodbury University's equally wordy Hollywood Center for Community Research and Design. After a design competition with five shortlisted finalists, the space will be unveiled with winning entry PENDULUM PLANE designed by Oyler Wu Collaborative. [DnA on KCRW]
