More on yesterday's hearing concerning City Councilman Dennis Zine's “anti-paparazzi” ordinance. While this issue is being debated as a matter of public safety, Police Chief William J. Bratton opted not to go. Busy fighting the gangs? "Police Chief William J. Bratton, who opposes any new laws concerning paparazzi, called the hearing a “total waste of time.” He also noted things have calmed down now that "Paris is out of town not bothering anybody." [NYT]
